Jimmie and his music came into my life in the 70's, a time for wondering about the world and our place in it, and also a time for great music in my eyes.
I was fortunate enough to get to meet Jimmie when I was DJ'ing in a special dance club here in Tulsa. A mutual friend that worked with the Ice Capades doing sound and lights, and now works for Seigfreid & Roy, brought him to meet me. He would crouch down in the booth so no one could see him, and we would have animated discussions about so many things. After closing time, it was time to laugh, sing, and be friends.
I must say that he touched my life in so many ways, and I will miss his magical hold on life, and on music so much.
A very creative man that I have had the pleasure of meeting on line, Noel, has made a "Power Show" (slide presentation with photos and sound) of Jimmie, and one of his songs for myself, and the fans of Jimmie.

It is currently October of 2000, and I finally am holding what would have been Jimmie's next release in 1984. It was finished shortly before a drunk driver took Jimmie away from us in this world forever. How can I still cry tears for a friend gone so long? I sit here, listening to timeless tracks sung from Jimmie's soul. Tears fill my eyes for what SHOULD have been. Any one of these songs would be a hit today, actually, they are better than most of what I hear today. Guess I am a bit biased, but even if you have never heard one note from Jimmie's soul, I am convinced that you will love this CD.
